BackgroundIn March, 2007, the Board of Directors approved our legislative agenda, under the title, “The Agenda for Philanthropic Partnership.” Originally we had hoped to develop one piece of legislation creating the legislative tools to promote philanthropic growth.Yet, as we considered the diversity of the items that served one or more sectors of philanthropy, it became clear no one piece of legislation could or should seek to advance these diverse items."
