WASHINGTON - The federal government has been quick to try and bail out the financial industry while neglecting small, minority businesses in the Gulf Coast still struggling after the 2005 hurricane season.
That's according to Rep. William Jefferson, D-New Orleans, who on Monday wrote a letter to Congressional Black Caucus Chairwoman Carolyn Cheeks-Kilpatrick."
